Djufry Rorong is a professional guide from Tomohon, North Sulawesi, Indonesia. He started working in tourism since 1997, when he was 23 years old being taught by his teacher & friends after came back from America. From that time Djufry work for different Hotel, Resort & Diving Center. He spends most of the time guiding in North Sulawesi untill now.
Trekking Soputan, Klabat, Lokon, Empung, Ambang, Mahawu and also other Adventure Tour. If it is safe, he will take you even to Soputan and Klabat real Summit and other mountain. Cause the last part up the steep cone of Soputan & Klabat are quite hard and you have to be in good condition, but the view is amazing.

Djufry completed his studies, graduating as a Social Engineer in Public Relation at the University of Sariputra Tomohon. Prior to this, he had spent some time studying Hospitality Management and also had a licenced guide. He join the Leadership Training in Kathmandu, Nepal. He also the Vice Chairman of Tomohon Guide Association & member of North Sulawesi Guide Association.

Mount Klabat is the highest mountain in North Sulawesi province. The peak of the Mountain reaches a height of about 2100 meters. This mountain is a natural tourist attraction and it can be traced from Airmadidi, the capital of North Minahasa Regency. Klabat Mountain is a volcano that is no longer active. The top of Mount Klabat has crater shaped with a small lake occupying the clear sparkling water. To hike Klabat through Aimadidi area can be reach within 8 hours of travel with a guide.
The starting point for the hike is the town of Airmadidi, which is at an elevation of only 260 m. The trail is in good condition and it is a steep but steady climb. Day hike from sunrise is starting at 5 am, you climb as the sun rises and hopefully make it to the summit before the midday clouds gather on the summit; and overnight trekking is start with enough time to get to the summit to set up camp and see the sunset. It’s better to start early to avoid the heat in the first part of the climb. Rp.2.000.000/pax or 2.500.000 for 1 pax. Soputan is a stratovolcano in Indonesia. It is on the northern arm of Sulawesi Island and rises to an elevation of 1,785 m (5,853 ft). The geologically young and mostly unvegetated cone is primarily constructed of andesit and basalt rock. It sits on the southern rim of the Tondano caldera, which formed in the Quatemary period. The volcano is one of Sulawesi's most active, with 39 confirmed eruptions in the last 600 years. Eruptive activity at Soputan typically consists of pyroclastic flows, lava domes and Strombolian-style explosions. Rp.1.600.000/pax. Indonesia has 129 volcanoes including Mount Lokon. It is an active volcano that has a flat and craterless top with the heights 1,689 meters above sea level. Its crater located on its foot named “Tompaluan”crater. Lokon formed during a period of andesitic volcanism on ring fractures resulting from the Tondano caldera’s early to mid-Pleistocene collapse.
Most people say they climbing for Lokon, it means that they visited the crater and some guides will think you only want to go to the crater, but we take you to the top of it. The route to reach Lokon is mostly passing a dry river bed that is actually an old lava flow from the Mountain. This trip can be quite slippery because the surface is so smooth. It takes 2 to 3 hours to reach the Crater Lake from Tomohon. A long the way we have to pass by a small stone quarry and start the climbing to the crater or to the summit of Lokon. Rp. 750.000/pax. Tampusu Mountain is 1.184 above sea level. It is located in the Southeast of Tomohon City, about 6.7 km from Tomohon zero point. A long the way you would enjoy nice farming, see the beauty of the nature, singing birds and when reaching the top, visitors can see Klabat Mountain and Tondano City with its famous Tondano Lake. People can also spot the beauty of Masarang Mountain, Surrounding Hills, Lokon Mountain, and Linow Lake. It is a nice camping site by the lake Tampusu and the track is easy. Rp. 750.000/pax. It is located on the top of Tampusu Mountain. It was created by the crater which is now inactive. The width of the lake is about 38.963 meters, with a surrounding length of 722 meters. This lake is unique because it is located just at the top of the mountain that visitors can fell the cool air around the lake and do birds watching and traditional fun fishing. Mount Ambang is 1.184 above sea level. It is located in Bolaang Mongondow Regency. Mount Empung means Mount of God. Its located on the other side of Lokon Mount. A long the way you would enjoy nice Clove farming, see the beauty of the nature, hear the singing birds and when reaching the top, you will see the spectakuler view of Bunaken Island, Siladen Island, Manado Tua Island, the capital of North Sulawesi Province Manado. See the eternal flower “Edelways” then experience the beauty of the forest inside the crater of this mount. Mount Mahawu is a stratovolcano located immediately east from Lokon-Empung volcano in North Sulawesi, Indonesia. The volcano is capped with 180 m wide and 140 m deep crater with two pyroclastic cones in the northern flanks. A small explosive eruption was recorded in 1789. In 1994, fumaroles, mudpots and small geysers activities were observed along the greenish shore of a crater lake. From the top of the mountain, visitors can see the view of Lokon crater, Mount Empung, Tomohon City, Manado City, Bitung City, Tondano City and several other mountains and superb natural panoramic view. Mahawu is an active volcano and 1.311 meter above sea level with a small volcanic lake that change color sometimes. Around this area there is a forest for bird watching to see Sulawesi Pitta, Scaly Breast King Fisher and other kind of birds. Rp. 750.000/pax. Tekaan Telu Waterfall has four beautiful waterfall that pours down next to each other. Around the waterfall, there are many planted with lush and green trees, making the atmosphere fresher. To get down the waterfall, you will go down stairs and a fairly steep path. A long the way you might see some endemic birds, black monkey and green forest. The trekking would be 45 minutes and stay careful when you visit Tekaan Telu waterfall Tinoor with the height of 60 meters. Rp. 750.000/pax. Tumimperas waterfall is located in Pinaras village, South Tomohon District. The waterfall location is 7 km away from Tomohon City center. It has a height of 57 m and can be easily reached with general transportation. Right after you get out of the car, you can immediately hear the sound of falling water indicating that the location of the waterfall is so close. In this waterfall you can stand at the point where the water drops. The site is surrounded by beautiful natural scenery which pleases the heart. Rp. 500.000/pax. Linou Lake is a naturally formed crater from volcanic eruption. Around the lake, there are various geothermal manifestation such as hot springs, fumarole, and also mud pool. It has a width of 34 Ha (355.860 m2) with a surrounding length of 2.661 meters. It is a unique lake as its water can change color to adjust the weather due to its high concentration of sulfur. Besides its beautiful panoramic view, there are also metamorphosed fauna called 'sayok' and 'komo' which are edible & when they grow up become dragon fly. It is located in the southern part of Tomohon City, about 4 km from Tomohon City center with a distance of about 29 km from Manado City center by using public transportation or rent cars.
